Lenglen was the greatest woman tennis player of her era and the first World number 1 ranked woman tennis player of the amateur era (1921-1967), a ranking she held from 1921 to 1926. Lenglen died in 1938 at the age of thirty-nine, which has resulted in the rarity of her signature today. The photo (6.5x8.5", visible dimensions) displays a tiny tear near the bottom border and is otherwise in apparent Excellent to Mint condition. Matted and framed to total dimensions of 14.5x17.5".
